Meta launches Waddle World, an AI pet app
Meta has quietly released Waddle World, an AI virtual pet app, in the Philippines. Tell the pet about your day and it writes a journal entry with a doodle.
Meta has released Waddle World, an AI virtual pet app, in the Philippines first. The news came out on October 28, and the app is on Meta's own Philippine App Store and Google Play pages. The App Store already lists version 1.01 dated October 8.
Users pick a pet, grow it, feed it and play with it. The journal is the core feature: describe your day by voice or text and the pet writes an entry with a doodle. There are also mini-games that take a few minutes and a weekly email.
Meta describes the app as not a habit builder and not a chatbot, and flags it for users over 18. Meta has not said whether it will launch elsewhere, and pricing has not been reported.
