Of the 12,255 people who answered, 65.5% said they had used Claude Code in the past year. GitHub Copilot is second at 58.7%, 6.8 percentage points behind. OpenAI Codex (29.5%) comes third, ahead of Cursor (25.5%) in fourth, and Google Antigravity is fifth at 16.0%.
Respondents could pick several tools, so the shares add up to more than 100%. This is not market share, active users, performance or satisfaction, and it does not tell a tool tried once from one used every day. The source does not say which population this question was asked of (all respondents or only AI tool users) or give the dates of the survey. In the same survey, 65.9% of all 17,464 respondents said they use AI coding assistants or agents at work.
