A look at the basic-parts layer that runs quietly under design systems, through the Radix Primitives 1.6.7 release and two weekly download figures.
Design system news tends to be about new components and new tokens. This week's evidence sits on the other side: numbers from the basic-parts layer that rarely gets noticed.
There is one release and two download figures, and that is all. The evidence is small, so I will keep this short and separate what is confirmed from what I think.

@radix-ui/react-dialog had 59,697,257 downloads in the past week. It is one common part: the modal dialog.
class-variance-authority had 53,211,344 weekly downloads. It is a small tool for organizing variants such as button sizes and colors in code.
Both figures were collected from the npm pages on October 27.

Radix Primitives 1.6.7 was published on July 25. The body of the release page contains nothing beyond the version number.
So these sources do not say what changed in this release. The change has to be checked in the repository's commit history, not guessed.
The numbers say one thing. The more boring the part, such as a dialog or a variant helper, the more projects pull in the same package. Design systems look different on the surface, but the layer beneath them is probably filled with similar parts.
A download count is a count of installs, not of users. Automated builds and installs triggered as another package's dependency are counted too. It should not be read as one place using this much.
The empty release notes point the same way. A quiet layer keeps being used even when its changes go unannounced. That is why it helps to check what changed whenever a version moves.

A simple place to start in your own project: look in the lockfile and find which versions of these two packages are installed.
